Absolutely Outstanding Dining Experience at Soleto! I rarely leave reviews, but Soleto truly deserves all the praise! From start to finish, this was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. I indulged in a full three-course meal and, honestly, loved every single bite—which is rare for me! I started with the scallops, which were beautifully cooked and packed with flavour. Then came the veal escallops for the main—tender, rich, and perfectly balanced. And to top it all off, the tiramisu was light, creamy, and utterly divine. Each dish felt thoughtfully prepared and executed to perfection. What made the evening even more special was how accommodating and inclusive the staff were with non-alcoholic options. Their alcohol-free wine and gin alternatives were amazing—finally, a place that doesn’t make you feel like you’re missing out if you don’t drink! The service was warm, attentive, and genuine throughout. Soleto is truly a gem in Southampton, and I can’t wait to return. Highly, highly recommend!

Decided to have dinner here after a show at the Mayflower. Had some starters, pasta and shared a dessert. The food was amazing, heavenly soft ciabatta with pesto, sauce in seafood pasta was delicious and one of the best tiramisu we've had in the UK. Will definitely be back to try specials! The atmosphere was also nice, with soft quiet music and gentle light. Service was good, we felt cared for but not overly, which I always appreciate. It's a great place for a nice dinner with a date or a mate, highly recommend to try.

Soleto Bistro is an incredible Italian restaurant that instantly transports you back to Renaissance-era Italy with its charming and vintage decor. Every dish here is a masterpiece—whether it’s the starters or the main courses, the flavours are absolutely authentic and impossible to replicate. As a dessert lover, I was particularly impressed by their handmade treats. The tiramisu and Belgian dark chocolate dessert are simply addictive—absolute must-tries! The service is exceptional as well, making the whole dining experience even more delightful. Without a doubt, this is my number one Italian restaurant in Southampton. I’ve already been here twice, and I can’t wait for my third, fourth, and fifth visits and more! Highly recommended!

Wonderful meal and service! They accommodated our group of 14 at one long table so that we could sit together. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive.

The server was what I assume an Italian gentleman of outmost eloquence, served us some excellent food and drinks and seemed passionate, I even noticed him closing a window above the door so that it's comfortable for an elderly couple. Bravo The place itself is quite quaint and cozy, do give it a try.

10/10 restaurant, would very much recommend to anyone. The food here has repeatedly been among the best meals i've ever had, and it always feels like a very fancy dinner. We got to meet the chef the last time we went, and had a great conversation about what to choose on the menu. Really can't recommend enough, definitely worth trying!

Enjoyed a delicious three course meal here. We were fortunate enough to be seated on a Friday evening without having booked. A little on the pricey side and I'm not a fan of a 12.5% service charge that is automatically added on to the bill, however the ambience and service was spot on. The chef even came out to see that guests were enjoying their food. My only advice is not to go particularly hungry unless you plan to have multiple courses or a couple of sides because the portions are a little modest.

Having booked a show at the local theatre we researched and selected this restaurant in the main as it had a lovely menu and was walking distance to the hotel and theatre. Booked over the phone and the gentleman was lovely. We arrived and from the first moment to the last the service was great. We especially liked the chef / owner coming to each table to ask how the food and service was. The service stayed already was great and the food was lovely. Indeed my favourite bruschetta to date and I’ve been Italy a few times too. The pasta was terrific and puddings superb. Would we come back if we were in the area again absolutely.
